Synopsis

Celebrity chef Phillip Johnson faces a discrimination claim over the inaccessibility of his restaurant. A complaint was made by disability advocate Peter Yeo, who claimed that he was unable to access the upstairs area of the Mr Johnson’s restaurant in his wheelchair. It is reported that Mr Yeo was told by restaurant staff that the upstairs dining room could not accommodate those in wheelchairs. The matter has been set down for a two day hearing before the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal in March 2014.
